PUMA and Chinatown Market launch their first collection
A tribute to the DIY aesthetic
June 28th, 2019
Their first official meeting was for a pop-up store during this year's All-Star Game, but now PUMA and Chinatown Market are back with a more significant project: a collection inspired by New York's famous Canal Street and its DIY aesthetic. The couple chose three silhouettes from the German brand and reworked them with removable and interchangeable elements. The result? The new STORM sneaker features a mesh upper with overlapping layers of nubuck and leather, the bright yellow Chinatown Market fabric label on the side and the multicoloured PUMA print on the tongue. The Suede has an upper with black and yellow checkered patterns, while the Ralph Sampson model has an interchangeable multicoloured formstripe.
The collaboration also includes clothing such as the PUMA x CTM Colorblock Tee, the PUMA x CTM AOP Crew and accessories such as the PUMA x CTM Cap and the PUMA x CTM Transparent Tote Bag.
The entire collection will be available from Thursday, July 11, at PUMA.com, in the PUMA Stores and in selected retailers.
