Saint Laurent opened a new concept store in Paris
Saint Laurent Rive Droite takes the place of the famous Colette boutique
June 20th, 2019
When in December 2017 the Parisian multi-brand boutique Colette closed, many people wondered who would take its place and become a reference point for all lovers of fashion, art and design. The answer is Saint Laurent. The French fashion house took over the spaces at 213 rue saint Honoré and turned them into Saint Laurent Rive Droite, the brand's new concept store named after the first revolutionary ready-to-wear boutique opened in 1966.
Anthony Vaccarello - Creative director of YSL - explained the idea behind the project in this way:
“We want to be more immersive for the consumer, and possibly reach some people who wouldn’t necessarily come to Saint Laurent. Without imitating Colette, the idea was to have collaborations with brands that I love, and also make it a place for cultural events like film screenings and concerts.”
The location designed and curated by Anthony Vaccarello to embody the ultimate creative and cultural destination of the city in which different worlds meet and contaminate, offers a wide range of products that include exclusive pieces, limited editions, a selection of books, music, photography, exhibitions, performances and events. Here you will find pieces that represent the DNA of the house, but also design objects of all kinds: dice, speakers, gym weights. A multifaceted attitude that SL brings from Paris to Los Angeles in the twin concept store located at 469 Rodeo Drive.
