April 18th, 2019
A new Foot Locker store is opening in Milan, the retailer was born in 1974 and helped sportswear and footwear in establishing themselves in Italian mass culture, bringing adidas' and Nike's historical models such as the Stan Smith and the Air Max line sneakers to a larger stage. Foot Locker, especially in Italy, has allowed at least three generations to learn about a very American sales method, as well as to promote the dissemination of a symbolic vocabulary on the basis of streetwear language.
The 3-floor store that is located on Corso Buenos Aires 17 will be the fifteenth in Milan and number 180 in Italy, in second place worldwide in the number of shops behind the United States.
The opening of the new store is a way to celebrate the Milanese streetwear scene, one of the most passionate globally and constantly growing in terms of credibility.
To celebrate the opening of the new store, from 19 to 21 April, starting from 10:00 and until 20:00, the Foot Locker public will be able to experience the store as a meeting place, thanks to DJ sets, customization workshops by New Era on sneakers and caps, a game space with X-Box and the Bahama Mama beauty concept store. The new store of the brand founded by Santiago Lopez will open for preview on Friday 18 with a private opening.
