Virgil Abloh presents his latest Louis Vuitton campaign Named the “THE PIVOTAL YEARS” the focus is on the coming of age youth

Virgil Abloh’s appointment to creative director for Louis Vuitton was a clear message that LV is shifting its demographic focus to include a younger audience. The at times very streetwear inspired pieces and sneakers of the new Louis Vuitton collection have proven this fact whilst showing the brands ability to evolve with the times. In LV’s third campaign for its Virgil Abloh designed Spring/Summer 2019 collection, this focus is cemented even further. Aptly named “THE PIVOTAL YEARS” the campaign is a part of the on-going study of youth culture that sees high school students as the protagonist in various everyday school situation whilst decked out in monochromatic Louis Vuitton T’s. The T's reference the merch that participants got at the presentation of Virgil's inaugural collection this summer in Paris, June 21st, making them look almost like a uniform, adorned with LV accessories and the new SS19 kicks.
