The review of the Off-White FW19 collection

In a wide space that reminds of a giant chessboard in orange and grey nuances, takes place the Off-White FW19 show. The expectations were of course very high if only because it was a collection designed by Virgil Abloh, who, we must say, this season surprised us. In a good way. 

Not forced sportswear, no running bodysuits, none of this. The Off-White woman of this season becomes sophisticated, bold, strong, at times over-the-top. In her closet feature trenches, leather suits, tight blazers, feminine dresses, tight long dresses with the 'Off' lettering, but also oversized jeans, more technical pants and puffer jackets with a sporty taste. The show, opened by Mariacarla Boscono, started with beige tones, used on different fabrics, then enters the black, super refined, alternating with red details. Later it's the turn of stronger and brighter colourways, like yellow, green and orange. Along with almost oniric checkered patterns we find tapestry, floral themes and unexpected glitter inserts. Fabrics range from leather and silk to denim, between opaque and shining surfaces.  

The show is closed by three top models walking the runway with dresses with a super long trail: Karlie Kloss in a yellow dress, Gigi Hadid in the black version and Bella Hadid in short shorts and light shirt opened on the chest to cover only the breasts.
