The firm Brand Finance is the world’s leading independent branded business valuation and strategy consultancy and releases yearly reports on which Fashion brands are the most valuable in the world. They have just released their latest finding and Nike continues to dominate as the world’s most valuable apparel brand, with a brand value of US$32.4billion. Due to strong growth in particularly China, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, along with very strong campaigns that have mixed politics and brand awareness, such as Colin Kaepernick's "Dream Crazy" and the recent follow up with a female focus, "Dream Crazier".

Zara and Adidas move up the list as H&M’s brand value decreases pushing it down to 4th place. Uniqlo is the fastest-growing apparel brand in the top 10, up an incredible 48% from last year. Luxury brands account for 7 out of the top 10 strongest apparel brands, showing the importance of brand strength in the segment.
Alongside side the overall brand value, Brand Finance also determines the relative strength of brands through a balanced scorecard of metrics evaluating marketing investment, stakeholder equity, and business performance. Along with the level of revenues, brand strength is a crucial driver of brand value. There we see Rolex take the first place spot as the worlds strongest brand, which may come as a surprise to some, followed by Nike, Prada, Gucci, and Zara.
