The review of Versace FW19 collection
Donatella's top models among pins and Medusa, for a classic Versace taste
February 24th, 2019
The fourth day of Milan Women's Fashion Week is closed by the highly anticipated show by Donatella Versace, which presents the FW19 collection. We had to look at the catwalk with enchantment, which does not give up, as a tradition for Versace, to put together the most important Top Models on the planet. Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, Vittoria Ceretti, Irina Shayk and Stephane Seymour bring to life the second collection designed by Donatella after the passage of the Italian fashion house to the Michael Kors' group. The Italian designer, as mentioned, retains that special relationship that his brother Gianni had with top models.
The catwalk was pure Versace style, dominated by the black and gold of the pin dress with the face of Medusa, large and in gold, to illuminate the looks of the collection. Variety in fabrics, earthy and material but also bright, with acid colors brightened by silk and nylon. So many themes of this FW19, make-up, the layering of colors and the variety of accessories, especially bags and hairpins. The general feeling is a celebration of contrast and color, a consistent evolution on this day, which began with the composure of Bottega Veneta's Show.
