Nike "Dream Crazier"
The new Nike campaign with an all-female cast
February 22nd, 2019
After moving and breaking the Internet last fall with the commercial voiced by former NFL quarterback and activist Colin Kaepernick, Nike is ready to launch Dream Crazier. The new advertising campaign continues to tell the stories of sportsmen who have faced and overcome obstacles thus rewriting the sport's history and inspiring generations of athletes to follow their example and their passions without limits. This time, however, for the first time the saga of Just Do It will have as its protagonist a cast of women only.
A powerful message of female empowerment which, as the American company emphasizes:
"It highlights the athletes who broke the barriers, brought people together through the power of sport and inspired generations of athletes to chase their dreams".
To make the message even more effective is the voice of Serena Williams who during all 90 seconds of the clip will accompany the images of gymnast Simone Biles, of the fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad (the first Muslim woman to wear a hijab while competing for American team at Olympics 2016), snowboarder Chloe Kim, swimmer Simone Manuel and some members of the national women's football team. The new accompanying short film will debut during the ninety and one edition of the Oscars on Sunday 24 February.
