The releases of the Air Jordan 1 do not seem to stop and Nike, after the great success of 2018 releases, launches a new colorway, the Air Jordan 1Retro High OG "Couture".
Behind this release is the desire by Nike and Jordan Brand to "tell", once again, one of the stories that have changed forever the world of sneakers and marketing: the story behind the ban by the NBA against of Michael Jordan wearing the Air Jordan 1 Retro High - the "Banned" - during the games because the rules, at that time ironic we are in 1985, which prevented an athlete to wear shoes not matching with the uniform and with teammates' shoes.
The design of this release in fact "plays" with that prohibition that actually contributed, along with the affirmation of Michael, to the enormous success of Nike.
The completely black upper is crossed by a red band that knows about censorship and covers the swoosh while the midsole is in total white. Another inspiration behind this colorway is that linked to the craftsmanship behind the construction and production of Italian luxury cars, Ferrari of course, of which Michael Jordan was a great admirer.
