Brain Dead x Converse: One Star capsule
Available from 7 February
February 5th, 2019
After the successful collaboration last October for the iconic Chuck '70, sold out in a very short time, Brain Dead and Converse return to join forces. This time the two partners focus on another of the most loved silhouette of the US brand, the One Star. The creative collective of artists and designers led by Kyle Ng remixa and gives new life to the original archival prints of Converse that often draw on street and skate culture. The result is a sneaker with overlapping graphics, characterized by an alternation on the various panels of the shoe of an animal leopard theme, zebra stripes and polka dots.
The slogan on the midsole completes the design: "To see and be seen as the eye can see. Who Controls the Control Men. The same elsewhere." The One Star will be available from February 7 at a price of € 120 on Converse.com and selected retailers.
Fun fact: The first graphic motif of Converse was introduced in 1983, when a camouflage print is applied to Chuck Taylor. For sneaker it is a second life that soon becomes a global symbol of expression.
