Celine open a new menswear store in Milan
It will be placed in the heath of the Italian fashion district
January 30th, 2019
On January 20th, Celine's menswear made its debut on the runways, with a very Sliman man collection that had closed the Paris Fashion Week. The French fashion house is preparing to open its second store in Milan, in Via Santo Spirito, near Via Della Spiga and Via Montenapoleone, where, at number 25, there is the flagship store dedicated to women's collections.
The new space will be dedicated to menswear, one of the biggest novelties of the rebranding process of the fashion house, owned by the LVMH group, that with the arrival of Hedi Slimane wanted to reverse the course and switch to the years of Phoebe Philo's artistic direction.
The men's line is a complete novelty for the brand, which can leverage the esteem and success of the French designer also in Italy. In addition to the Italian store, Celine will also open a sales outlet in Rue François 1er in Paris, confirming the desire to expand the fashion house. The CEO Severine Merle has, in fact, told to the Financial Times that "all the fashion capitals will have a store for men".
We just have to wait to see the doors open, and understand if the interior will once again focus on the discrete, minimal, linear and dry elegance, typical of the French brand and Slimane, which already characterizes the space of Via Montenapoleone.
