New Wu-Tang Clan documentary out today
Going deep into the making of their debut album
November 9th, 2018
Through history, it is hard to think of a hip-hop group that has had the long-lasting impact that the Wu-Tang clan has. Exploding on to the scene in the early 90’s there was so much revolutionary about them, the consolation of that many rappers in one supergroup, each with an incredible talent and style of their own. The mixing of martial arts mythology gave Wu-Tang a backstory that became an integral part of their music. Released 25 years ago tomorrow, their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) changed hip-hop forever. To celebrate the anniversary Wu-Tang have revealed plans for a new documentary, called For The Children: 25 Years of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The film will go deep into the story behind the making of the seminal album and beyond featuring the groups surviving members will have cameo’s from A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Joey Bada$$ and more. Reportedly the documentary will go into considerable depth, breaking down each individual track of the album, discussing their creative processes and provide viewers with previously unheard personal stories about what brought the album to life.
Check out the trailer above and the documentary is out today, November 9 on Youtube.
