Rock stars have always been wearing black leather bikers, country singers preferred the brown cowboy hats and long-pointed boots. David Bowie, Elvis, Sir Mick Jagger have become icons not only for their undeniable musical talent but also for the innovative idea of style they have communicated throughout their life.
Acne Studios, reworking this idea, created a special FW18 capsule collection in honor of the blues singer and musician Johnny Winter. A legend of American music, Winter will always be remembered for his long blond hair, for Good morning little school girl, and for his unmistakable true blues boy style. Acne Studios decided to browse the artist's personal archive to reinterpret 8 key pieces of his iconic wardrobe. Among the outerwear we find a water-green bomber jacket, a light denim jacket with panels in a dark indigo wash and contrasting colored patches and a dark jeans jacket with studs on the neck and cuffs and with patch pockets. A green and white striped tuxedo shirt with a spike collar, is embellished with front rouches, while the lilac t-shirt is decorated with the name of Johnny Winter. And then skinny jeans and a pair of five burgundy velvet pockets.
The capsule collection is already available online and at selected brand stores.
