Heron Preston x NASA presents the short film Above The Clouds From the catwalks to the earths stratosphere

During PFW last January, Heron Preston presented "Public Figure", the FW18 collection that includes an interesting collaboration with NASA.

For the capsule, the designer from San Francisco dusted off a version of the space agencies logo used from 1975 to 1992 and dubbed the worm because of the curved shape of the letters, a detail that identifies the garments inspired by the suits of astronauts made from nylon and aluminum ripstop. The pieces include jackets, sweatpants, socks, sweatshirts, a silver denim jacket, a reflective white nylon top and even a convertible backpack inspired by the jetpacks astronauts use for space rides.

Now, to celebrate the arrival in the stores of the FW18 Heron Preston x NASA collection, the designer presents the short film "Above The Clouds", filmed together with David Laven, which tells the six-month process of the creation of the project. The highlight of the film? The launch of a mannequin dressed up in a cap and Tech Parka of the new 32-mile (50 km) line in the Earth's stratosphere.
