It was the 1993 when the designer Christian Tresser conceived for the first time the Aztrek silhouette. 25 years have passed, fashion and trends have changed, but what has never changed is the natural attraction for the roots, the desire to know where it all started and how it came to mark the history of sneakers.
Reebok wanted to celebrate the launch of the Reebok Classic Aztrek OG in London last Thursday, ready to involve its guests in its world, among 90s vibe and numerous surprises.
Our sneaker editor Ilaria Bigg has lived this experience 360 degrees: are you ready to relive the best of those years in the company of Reebok? Let's do it!
A high building with a Berlin touch has welcomed the guests who, throughout the day, had fun among the thousand activities distributed on different floors. The first location, totally dedicated to interactivity, was decorated with screens and projectors that featured some of the best videos of the 90s: from the most famous cartoon to a sparkling Pamela Anderson in total red Baywatch bikini, and then films and music clips by artists that have marked the hip-hop and rap's history.
Subsequently you could have fun with arcades, old videogames and styling activities thanks to a workshop created in collaboration with Hunger Magazine.
Of course, the 'OG room' could not be missing: some of the most iconic and archival Reebok pieces were presented and presented on the first floor of the building, models that made the history of the brand, accurately described and analyzed by Erin Narloch (Archive Team Reebok HQ Boston).
