The next Sean Wotherspoon sneakers?
Cloth clad Air Max 1/97's?
July 3rd, 2018
When thinking of really top level sneaker designers nowadays it is hard to think of names that are bigger and better than Sean Wotherspoon. His now legendary design of the Air Max 1/97 was a real turning point in Nike sneaker aesthetic, not sleek and slim, and not chunky, it showed a new direction in sneaker design that for many are the direction of the future. We’ve been eagerly awaiting to see what came next from the shoe designer, as seemingly did the man himself when he yesterday turned to instagram to put a little pressure on Nike to release his next versions of the iconic shoes. He posted two new sample editions shows the silhouette seemingly clad in corduroy cloth. One light and one in dark blue these sneakers are original in there presentation to say the least. Later he also posted the cloth reiteration of his classic Air Max 1/97 colorway.
Will be interesting to see if these will make it onto the Nike production line, are you guys feeling the new version, are the cloth a must cop or not?
