Heron Preston unveils capsule collections with NASA and Carhartt WIP
Stellar streetwear
June 28th, 2018
During last January PFW, Heron Preston presented Public Figure, FW18 collection that includes two interesting collaborations, one with NASA and the other with Carhartt WIP.
For the National Aeronautics and Space Administration capsule, available in stores and online from July 27, the San Francisco designer will revive a version of the space agencies logo used from 1975 to 1992 and dubbed the worm because of the curved shape of the letters.
This is the detail that identifies garments inspired by the suits of astronauts made of nylon and aluminum ripstop, pieces that include jackets, sweatpants, socks, sweatshirts, a silver denim jacket, a white reflective nylon top. The coolest item? The convertible backpack inspired by the jetpacks that astronauts use for space rides.
The partnership with Carhartt WIP adds a utilitarian touch to Heron Preston streetwear.
The capsule, arriving in stores in December, uses the sturdy canvas of the workwear brand as a base for trousers, jackets with contrasting orange zip fastening, varnished vests, and hats.
Take a look at every single piece of both collaborations and pick your favorite.
