adidas presents the UltraBoost made with the plastic from the oceans
Save the oceans one step at a time
June 6th, 2018
Turning an environmental threat into a resource is possible, even in the fashion world.
This is the philosophy behind the new collaboration between adidas and Parley, an organization founded by designer Cyrill Gutsch that aims to reduce the use of virgin plastic, recovering plastic waste from the seas and thus creating sustainable alternatives.
With 11 plastic bottles, the couple creates a special version of UltraBoost and UltraBoost X this time, presented concurrently with the return of the Run for the Oceans initiative.
The shoes are made for the 95% with Parley Ocean Plastic, with Primeknit upper in a light white/navy ocean color, laces, heel reinforcement, heel lining and recycled Pet insole lining and Boost cushioning.
The best technology of adidas meets the most modern eco-innovation.
Both sneakers will be available online June 8th and in stores all over the world June 27th for € 180.
