In these hours the name of Clare Waight Keller is on everyone's lips for the wedding dress of Meghan Markle, but the designer has many other cards to play.
The new artistic director of Givenchy has, in fact, just presented her first Resort collection, a selection of looks for men and women that combines the influence of the "Givenchy Sport" line from the 80s created by Monsieur Hubert with Japanese aesthetics.
The result is a captivating combination of sportswear and oriental pieces, characterized by graphic prints, V shapes, blouses with ruffles, gym pants, technical fabric second skin tops, jersey jackets with zips, leather skirts below the knee, Cuban-style flat-neck graphic shirts and hints of vibrant colors such as fuchsia, cobalt blue, yellow or red.
All refined by the emergence of the aristocratic codes typical of the fashion house that match the British background of Clare Waight Keller.
