March 29th, 2018
A couple sitting at a restaurant table.
A charming woman who dines alone and writes a message inside a paper airplane.
She launches it.
The other girl grabs it and ... pause.
This is what happens in Restaurant, the fourth chapter of Jil Sander's SS18 campaign directed by Wim Wenders.
Lucie and Luke Meier, in fact, chose the famous German director to "transform the humanity and depth of the collection into a short film composed of five episodes, "an ode to the purity of emotions and the delicate balance between innocence and elegance".
The work, entitled Paused By, declines the concept of suspension of time and space with the intense and poetic atmosphere typical of Wenders.
Each video fragment is a little poem that leaves you fascinated and curious to find out what will happen in the next episode.
