The Nike Air VaporMax Moc 2 x Acronym is finally available
Errolson Hugh and John Mayer unveil the new model with the short film "An Air of Disguise"
March 26th, 2018
The Nike Air VaporMax Moc 2, fourth silhouette designed by Errolson Hugh, co-founder of ACRONYM®, comes from a slightly different approach. With his team, Errolson considers the shoe "as a visual design" and uses graphic applications to transmit a idea of aggression and speed. Experimenting, the creative team evaluated to what extent they could push, while keeping the comfort and portability of the shoe intact.
Errolson had previously worked on three Nike models: the Lunar Force 1 (2015), the Nike Presto (2016) and the Downtown AF1 (2017), introducing a solution to a specific functional problem every time (for example, the zip of Lunar Force 1 to facilitate fit).
In the end, Hugh came to the result through an idea of camouflage inspired by his brand. "The scheme reproduces the A of Acronym: transforming it gives a grid. Each of the intersecting lines of the A within the square makes up a surface. We have done nothing but eliminate and reverse the various surfaces that were born from the intersections, thus creating the progression that led to these surprising forms ".
The Nike Air VaporMax MOC 2 x ACRONYM® is available in all color variants, exclusively on acrnm.com. Later they will be available on nike.com and select Nike retailers.
