Vivienne Westwood chooses a digital presentation for the FW18 collection
“Don’t get killed”
January 10th, 2018
No fashion show.
Vivienne Westwood opts for a presentation consisting of images and video, sent directly to the press and buyers via email.
The London Fashion Week thus loses one of its most important protagonists who instead makes a short film lasting a couple of minutes to introduce Do not get killed the FW18 collection, a collection of all the cards, T-shirts, brochures and posters of denunciation that the designer has produced in recent years.
"Happy new year, what?!"
So Mrs Westwood greets viewers and continues:
"I'm a designer and an activist. You all know what I’m up to – I use fashion as a vehicle for activism to stop climate change and mass extinction of life on Earth".
The punk queen is a fighter, but she remains a talented designer. Just look at his latest collection to understand it: prints and colors, tarot cards, no gender silhouettes, British tailoring, revisited military uniforms.
