Balenciaga unveils its SS18 advertising campaign on Instagram

Shortly after announcing its return on the catwalk and a week before the arrival of a children’s clothing line in stores, Balenciaga launches the SS18 advertising campaign directly from its Instagram profile with a series of posts.
As already during the parade of the collection presented last June, also on this occasion the families are protagonists. The shots made by Robbie Augspurger with the styling of Lotta Volkova respect the normcore style a bit awkward, oversize, inspired by the ‘80s and ‘90s that made the success of Demna Gvasalia.
Among the images that portray couples and fathers with their children, we recognize the all-blonde family seen on the catwalk during the Balenciaga show.
The comments to the advertising campaign, such as those to the collection created by the designer of Georgian origin, are various and contradictory, divided between those who are enthusiastic and those who, disgusted, sharply criticize their style choices.
