Since its launch earlier this year, color played a central role in the design of the Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit silhouettes - with color iteration nodding to Nikes' iconic colorways - and now Johanna Schneider, Senior Design Director for Nike Sportswear Women’s Apparel, offers her own exploration of color for a personalized take on the shoe for NIKEiD.
“Color placement directly affects your experience with and understanding of footwear”,
said the renowned designer and, in fact, Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit by JFS's color palette follows on a penchant for pairing traditional colors with sophisticated applications. A heathered black and grey knit to highlight Flyknit’s grainy texture is contrasted by a VaporMax Air unit colored with glass bottle green or a warm, reddish hyper orange.
To this color palette can be added further personalization via the NIKEiD service, from the toe of the Air unit to the heel colorways, everything is up to your fantasy!
