Princess Diana is the muse of OFF-WHITE SS18
A woman, 40 looks coming for September
July 27th, 2017
Between a few weeks, August 31, 20 years will have passed since the death of Princess Diana.
Many ways to mark this sad anniversary: new books, new documentaries and newspaper articles, an exhibition at Kensington Palace and an exhibition at Kensington Palace and a totally unexpected tribute.
Yes, okay, Lady D is considered a style icon, but no one would have bet or imagined that OFF-WHITE would have chosen her as a muse.
One shot just published on label’s Instagram confirms Diana Spencer will be the inspiration for the next SS18 collection by Virgil Abloh which will be presented during the fashion in September.
Not a modern girl like the one who is used to dressing, nor a music star like Kanye West, Abloh opts for the most controversial member of the British royal family.
In particular by the published moodboard’s image, a collage of Diana's photographs, from her in overprinted sweaters to her with maxi white lace collars, you can read tickets that divide the various moments of William and Harry's mother style into sections such as “Mom,” “Countryside Girl,” “Charity,” “Being a Princess,” and more.
Who knows how this will apply to the new creations of OFF-WHITE...
