Balenciaga will be the first guest of Colette's latest initiative: dedicate a whole floor of its Parisian store to some of the most interesting designers of the moment.
On the occasion of the Balenciaga takeover of the concept store – scheduled from 19 June to 5 August – Balenciaga will welcome the customers with a series of art installations, exhibitions and even a free treatment for manicure – by the nail-artist Mei Kawajiri. The space will also be scented with an exclusive fragrance evoking "the interior of a car" and video images shot among New York, London and Berlin will be screened to immerge customers in a fully urban atmosphere.
The strong part of Balenciaga's takeover for Colette is a series of gadgets that the Parisian Maison has designed for the event: a coffee cup, a sleeping mask and a shopper have been unveiled for now.
