Balenciaga NY's first store is designed by creative director Demna Gvasalia
An industrial space where the items are presented in a direct and raw way
June 7th, 2017
Write down this address: 804 Madison Avenue in New York. Where previously there was a space occupied by Gucci, now opened the new Balenciaga boutique.
The store, the first designed under the creative direction of Demna Gvasalia, has an industrial look and is designed to present all the products of the Maison, both the women's and men's collections as well as the accessories, in a straightforward way, without useless frills.
There are 1,800 square feet of concrete and glass with clothes and shoes hanging on the ceiling covered with aluminum sheets, with carpeted logos, silk-screened drapes, synthetic leather-covered benches, and aluminum tables.
The shop will also exhibit three statues by American artist Mark Jenkins.
Next opening: Paris.
