Dior to show its Cruise18 collection in the Santa Monica Mountains
Three hectares of pure bucolic haute couture fantasy
May 9th, 2017
Maria Grazia Chiuri has unveiled the location of Dior Cruise18 collection: Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve, between the Santa Monica Mountains, a mountain range in southern California.
Dior's creative director chooses to present her latest creations in a natural set of almost 3,000 hectares, for centuries Native American tribe Chumash's home. After last year's show at the imposing Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, this time Dior opted for a pastoral territory in which nature reigns ... a turning point that will be mirrored in the proposed looks as well? Maybe.
To know it, we should wait until next May 11th, the official show date.
After Monsieur Christian's House, it will be the turn on Sunday 14th of Louis Vuitton, at the Miho Museum in Kyoto, followed by Gucci on May 29th, at Palatine Gallery at Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
