Kenzo celebrates Nigerian youth in the short film Unity is Strength

Beauty is always present when there is a commitment to the celebration of a culture.
This is the message hidden behind Kenzo's latest fashion film.
Titled Gidi gidi bu ugwu eze and directed by Akinola Davies Jr along with Ruth Ossai, the colorful clip captures a group of young Nigerians picked through street casting in Nsukka churches, schools, and markets while participating in a beauty contest, dancing, jogging, combing. All wearing clothes from the Kenzo SS17 collection.
This short film is just part of a larger project, Kenzo Folio, a brand new publication to bring their collections back to life through the look of innovative photographers and filmmakers. The first issue of the magazine is, in fact, a celebration of youth in one of Nigeria's Igbo Nsukka communities.
From April 27 to May 10, an exhibition will be held at Kenzo's London store, where the first issue of quarterly publication will be available.
