Sneakers to release this weekend
From February 3rd to 5th, 2017
February 3rd, 2017
With adidas flooding the sneaker market this Wednesday with 10 different styles of sneaker utilising their BOOST technology, other releases have been slightly overshadowed. For example, NikeLab released two new variations of the Air Max 1, which we were huge fans of, and Reebok’s Pump model made its way back into our eyes. But, we’re not going to let all that bother us, instead we’re going to look ahead to see what the weekend has to offer us!
#1 UNDERCOVER Japan x Vans Vault Pack
Despite what feels like endless months of leaks and teasers; earlier in the week saw the official announcement of a collaboration between UNDERCOVER and Vans Vault. The collection will consist of an OG Era LX, which will release in a choice of black, red and white, and an OG Old Skool LX in grey and dark maroon. The Old Skool features a rose design printed upon the upper of the sneaker, whereas the Era features song lyrics saying, “Take me in time, time to the music, Take me away to the twilight zone”.
Release Information: This sneaker will be available Saturday, February 4th for a retail price of between $125 to $150. You’ll be able to pick these up from stockists such as End Clothing and Slam Jam Socialism.
#2 Jordan 4 “Royalty”
The Jordan 4 is an iconic silhouette which is adored by sneakerheads far and wide. This version will feature premium suede, in an anthracite grey colour, with gold detailing on the Jumpman logo and the eyelets. In addition, we also see black mesh on the upper of the sneaker! To compliment the sneaker, we see the return of a classic Air Jordan midsole in grey and white. This a classic Jordan model, so don’t hesitate to pick it up.
Release Information: This sneaker will be available Saturday, February 4th for a price of £155. You’ll be able to pick these up from retailers such as Nike and Size?.
#3 NikeLab Air Force 1 Low “Bright Citron” and “Purple Stardust”
There’s not much to say on this release, it’s one of Nike’s most iconic and notorious models, with a fresh burst of colour. The collaboration will see the release of two new colourways, purple and yellow, which will brighten up your wardrobe when we transcend into spring. The midsole features a stark contrast from the rest of the sneaker, which, as always is white! We think that more people will be rocking bolder colours throughout 2017 and Nike is laying the path for that trend.
Release Information: This sneaker will be available Friday, February 3rd, for a price of £110. You’ll be able to pick these up from stockists such as Offspring and Sneakers n Stuff.
#4 BAPE x Neighborhood x adidas Superstar BOOST
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this tri-way collaboration happen, although, it hasn’t happened on this silhouette. We’ve seen a BAPE and adidas collaboration recently, so why not throw Neighborhood into the mix? This collaboration sees two streetwear giants take on adidas iconic superstar model, but, this time with the addition of BOOST technology. The front of the sneaker features lilac suede, whilst grey primeknit finds itself wrapped around the back and heel. It’s a bold shoe, it features two of adidas most loved technologies: BOOST and Primeknit material. This is likely to be a sell-out release, especially given the collaborators.
Release Information: This sneaker will be available on Saturday, February 4th. Unfortunately, retail price is currently unknown and the only confirmed stockist, thus far, is adidas.
