Ferragamo presents 'Across Art and Fashion'
@ Ferragamo Museum, Florence
May 13th, 2016
Another renewed fashion house is ready to explore the relationship between art and fashion: on May 18, Across Art and Fashion will debut in Florence, an exhibition sponsored by the Ferragamo Foundation together with the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum.
Taking as its starting point the fascination of the Italian designer for the avant-garde art of the 20th century, the exhibition illustrates all the contaminations and collaborations between art and fashion registered over time and artistic movements, from the Pre-Raphaelites to the most contemporary experimentations.
The project – curated by Maria Luisa Frisa, Enrica Morini, Stefania Ricci and Alberto Salvadori – has been developed thanks to the support of cultural institutions such as Florence Central National Library, the Uffizi Galleries, the Marino Marini Museum and Prato’s Textile Museum.
Across Art and Fashion will be on display from May 18 until April 27, 2017 at Ferragamo Museum – Piazza Santa Trinità, 5 / R, 50123 Florence.
