Wall drawings and strong colors
Jan van der Ploeg a Roma
November 15th, 2014
The white walls and light modulations sinuous colors convey a feeling of well-being functional to make cozy spaces that take on new faces. Jan van der Ploeg talks about his positive approach to art as a gift to the public, thus emphasizing also the social and political motivations that animate his work, as evidenced by the fact that as well as in museums and galleries around the world, his works enliven the walls of places of everyday life, like the Bocconi University in Milan or, shortly, a high school in Naples and a hospital in New Zealand. The artist is an experimenter who loves to exploit the mingling between the arts and disciplines, because, as he says, "the inspiration comes from the exchange and the art can not be pigeonholed into rigid categories, but must be based on shared production, just like in contemporary cities. "
From November 14 to January 24, Gallery Giacomo Guidi, Largo Cristina of Sweden, 17.
