Nature on table
September 26th, 2013
Have you embraced the vegetarian lifestyle? Then, the cutlery that may be right for you has designed the Chinese designer Deng Qiyun, creator of a set of forks, knives, spoons, ladles, cups and bowls disposable PLA bioplastic that draw inspiration from the vegetable world.
The project began with the decision of Deng using elements inspired by plants as a means of structural and functional cutlery, giving it formal and tactile characteristics through different textures, the real works of art that almost seem more objects to be admired that to use.
Structure and form in nature already exist autonomously and can be borrowed to serve the functionality of artificial objects. A stalk of celery acts as a handle for the fork, a petal of artichoke the hollow of the spoon, a stem of pineapple is the blade of a knife and a carrot a handle of a spoon, in short, the nature of the table! The bioplastic PLA, used for these products is from renewable sources and makes them completely biodegradable, solving the problem of disposing of the typical disposable products.
But you want to throw?
