God Save The Teens: Chrissie White

Chrissie White nata nel 1993 a Seattle è una giovane fotografa autodidatta nota sul web grazie alle sue fotografie e il suo profilo flickr.  “That's where I got most of my photo education—along with experimenting with the camera, which is the best way to learn.” Ha iniziato a fotografare nel 2006, quando le venne l'abitudine di portare la sua piccola Kodak a scuola per fotografare i suoi compagni di classe. Dice che non sa scrivere ne disegnare; per questo ha scelto la fotografia per catturare i momenti della sua vita. Prima di scattare crea l'immagine nella sua testa. Infatti la sua fotografia oltre ad essere molto estetica è molto concettuale e creativa. In futuro vorrebbe andare a studiare a New York. A parte la sua macchina fotografica non potrebbe vivere senza: "Sushi, tea, my best friend, cold air, and mascara". Una delle sue fotografie più famose è quella che mostra una ragazza che vola nella sua camera da letto, ispirata dalla storia di Peter Pan e Wendy. Ed è proprio con quella foto che nel 2010 vinse The American Photo GoPro Contest. 

Chrissie White was born in 1993 in Seattle and is a young self-taught photographer well known in the Web thanks to her photographs and her flickr profile. "That's where I got most of my education photo-along with experimenting with the camera, which is the best way to learn." She got interested in photographs in 2006. She used to take her little Kodak camera to school and take photos of her friends. She says that she is horrible at drawing, and writing... so photography suited her best! Before taking a picture she creates the image in her head. In fact her photography as well as being very aesthetic is very conceptual and creative. In the future she would like to study in New York. Apart from her camera she could not live without: "Sushi, tea, my best friend, cold air, and mascara." Her most famous photograph is the one that shows a girl taking flight in her bedroom. Inspired by the story of Peter Pan and Wendy. It is with that picture that Chrissie won The American Photo Contest GoPro in 2010.
