Luxottica and Pinacoteca di Brera celebrate art in Milan
Until December 20, the works of the great masters will decorate the billboards of the city
December 10th, 2020
Give visibility and celebrate the beauty of Italian art. This is the goal of the new Luxottica for Art project presented by Luxottica in collaboration with the Pinacoteca di Brera. Until December 20th the works of art of the most important permanent collections in Italy will appear on the digital billboards of Milan, in strategic areas such as Piazza Cordusio and Cadorna.
The project represents the second phase of Luxottica's project in support of the world of art and culture, highly affected by the lockdown months, whose first chapter took place in collaboration with the Ambrosian Library. The works included in the selection want to celebrate Milan and its collectors and include great masters such as Piero della Francesca, Giovanni Bellini, Giorgio Morandi and Umberto Boccioni.
In addition to the art world, the initiative testifies to Luxottica's commitment to digitalization – a commitment that has led the company to install more than 20,000 interconnected digital screens worldwide in a network that surrounds the main world capitals and also includes the approximately 10,000 Luxottica stores worldwide.
