Louis Vuitton presents “Rome by Miles Hyman”
An exhibition of drawings dedicated to the Eternal City at the Istituto Centrale per la Grafica
October 4th, 2018
The way light illuminates the monuments, coloring them with its special shades of ocher, golden yellow, blue, turquoise and the wide range of reds; the many architectural details; the statues; the fountains; the gates of Trastevere; a smell or a face crossed on the street.
These are the things that make the Eternal City unique and unmistakable, the same that come alive in the exhibition "Rome by Miles Hyman". From October 5 to November 11, the Central Institute for Graphic Design in the capital houses 100 original drawings by the American artist, commissioned by Louis Vuitton to present the namesake book of its Travel Book series. The work of Hyman, famous illustrator of periodicals and novels, as of a wonderful comic book version of "The Black Dahlia" by James Ellroy, is a real invitation to the intense journey, real and virtual, which gives an unprecedented vision of the city Italian.
The appointment to visit the exhibition is from October 5 to November 11, from Wednesday to Sunday, from 14 to 19, free entry.
