Nss Chart - Detroit Swindle #013

I Detroit Swindle sono composti da Lars Dales e Maarten Smeets, due ragazzi che, senza essere cresciuti insieme, hanno avuto un'educazione musicale identica.

Un mix vibrante di Motown-soul, funk, hip hop e jazz li ha ispirati dalla più tenera età e dopo un' esplorazione attraverso la techno e l'house, si sono incontrati tramite un interesse comune nella Deep House Detroit.

I Detroit Swindle hanno una visione chiara sulla musica che suonano e producono. 

Le loro produzioni sono meglio descritte come interpretazioni contemporanee di brani classici con scanalature soul melodiche, accordi jazz e basslines sconnesse.

Il 2012 è l'anno della loro prime uscite. Con il loro Starvin EP su Saints & Sonnetts, si collocano tra artisti acclamati come Roman Flügel, Ethyl & Huxley. 

Il secondo EP del 2012 esce su Dirt Crew, un'etichetta deephouse leggendaria che non ha bisogno di presentazioni e pubblica artisti come Chymera, Tigerskin, Till von Sein, Mano Le Tough ed Elef.

Attualmente stanno lavorando su diversi remix e nuove tracce, stanno inoltre sperimentando le loro performance dal vivo.

Detroit Swindle consists of Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets, two guys that, without actually growing up together, have had pratically an identical musical upbringing.

A vibrant mix of Motown-soul, funk, hiphop and jazz inspired them from an early age on and after a varied exploration through techno and house, they met eachother by mutual interest in Detroit inspired deephouse. 

Detroit Swindle have a clear vision on the music they produce and play.  

Their productions are best described as contemporary interpretations of classic soul tracks with melodical grooves, jazzy chords and bumpy basslines. 

2012 is the year of their first releases. With their Starvin EP on Saints & Sonnetts, they place themselves amongst highly acclaimed artists like Roman Flügel, Ethyl & Huxley.

The second EP of 2012 comes out on Dirt Crew, a legendary deephouse label that needs no introduction and publishes artists like Chymera, Tigerskin, Till von Sein, Mano Le Tough ed Elef.

They are currently working on several remixes and releases, and are experimenting with their DJ/live performance.
