Nss Chart - Wildkats #011

I Wildkats sono un collettivo di produzione formatosi nell' est di Londra quando si incontrarono i due dj di Edinburgo Stuart Sandeman e Scott Dickie con il dj di origine americane Corey Baker.

Dopo aver condiviso le loro idee decisero di riunirsi in studi per lavorare a vari progetti.

Influenzati da sonorità funk degli anni 80 e dalla new york disco, hanno incominciato a sviluppare il loro sound; un energica combinazione di groove led house e dub disco con il loro marchio di fabbrica Wildkats bassline.

Fin dalla loro nascita nell'estate del 2010 le loro tracce hanno rapidamente attirato l'attenzione di alcuni dei più grandi nomi della comunità della musica house. Il supporto è arrivato da Hot Natured, Wolf + Lamb, Crosstown Rebels, Lee Curtiss, Droog, Jamie Jones, MANIK e Soul Clap, i quali hanno provato e testato le tracce dei Wildkats attraverso le più famose piste da ballo come il Sonar, Burning Man, Glastonbury e il DC10 di Ibiza.

La loro traccia System Crank con Russ Yallop su Hot Creations, sta già creando molto scalpore nella scena dell'house music.

Dopo aver sentito la qualità delle loro tracce, la crew di Hot Natured ha dato loro la possibilità di produrre sull'etichetta Hot Creations un loro EP. Ci sono anche le prossime release su Hot Waves, Stranjjur, Lower East e Neim.

Wildkats  are a production collective formed in East London when Edinburgh DJ’s Stuart Sandeman & Scott Dickie met US import Corey Baker.

After sharing ideas over a booming warehouse bass bin they decided to get into the studio.

Pulling influences from 80s Funk and New York Disco they began to develop their sound; an energetic combination of groove led house and dubby disco with their trademark WiLDKATS bass-line. 

Since their inception in summer 2010 their tracks have quickly caught the attention of some of the biggest names in the dance music community. Support has come from Hot Natured, Wolf + Lamb, Crosstown Rebels, Lee Curtiss, Droog, Jamie Jones, MANIK e Soul Clap, all of whom have tried and tested WiLDKATS’ tracks across some of the globes most prolific dance floors including Sonar, Burning Man, Glastonbury and Ibiza’s mecca DC10.

Their forthcoming System Crank track with Russ Yallop on Hot Creations is already creating quite a stir across the dance community. 

Upon hearing the quality of their releases, the Hot Natured crew have also given them the rare opportunity to put out their own Hot Creations EP in early 2012. There are also upcoming releases on Hot Waves, Stranjjur, Lower East and Neim.
