Craig Green modella gli abiti che crea come fossero statue, sculture dalla complessa architettura. Lo stilista inglese affonda le radici nei suoi studi d’arte e usa ciò che ha imparato per portare in passerella una collezione forte e d’effetto. Come molti prima di lui, trasforma i modelli in maschere, dipinge i loro volti, li annulla ed usa i loro corpi per raccontare una storia. 

Decostruire per ricostruire, così Green esplora il tema delle ombre, concetto attorno al quale ruota tutta la sua proposta invernale. Bianco e nero, assi di legno dipinte davanti al volto, pantaloni alla caviglia, maglioni over realizzati con patchwork ton sur ton, cappelino di lana in testa contribuiscono a creare uno stile casual, metropolitano, dall’aspetto comunemente alternativo.

Craig Green cerca di percorrere strade già battute da artisti come McQueen e Margiela, ma, come non sempre accade, con il pregio che, una volta tolto ogni orpello, le sue creazioni sono decisamente portabili.
