G.V.G.V SS2013

G.V.G.V. è un marchio giapponese fondato nel 1999 da Mug, giovane fashion designer diplomata alla Kusawa Design School. Il brand è ormai diventato una delle più interessanti realtà nipponiche, grazie ad una visione di moda in cui convivono linee e forme femminili e più androgine. Un look un po’ tomboy è anche quello della collezione estate 2013,Insectopia, che si ispira, per la scelta dei tessuti, delle stampe, dei colori e delle silhouettes, agli insetti delle foreste tropicali. Il nero, il verde sorbetto e l’arancione sono i protagonisti assieme a delle stampe che richiamano il mondo selvaggio delle foreste. Se le forme riprendono quelle delle pupe, i tessuti, iridescenti, splendono come il corpo di uno scarabeo, introducendo un mood lievemente futurista. G.V.G.V. riesce nel difficile compito di farci amare gli insetti o, almeno, una parte di essi.

G.V.G.V. is a Japanese brand founded in 1999 by Mug, young fashion designer graduated from the Kusawa Design School. The brand has soon become one of the most interesting in Japan, thanks to a vision of fashion where menswear and womenswear  live together. The tomboy look is also present in its latest summer 2013 collection, Insectopia, which is inspired by the insects of tropical forests in terms of fabrics, prints, colors and silhouettes,. Black, sorbet green and orange are the collection’s protagonists, along with bold prints that refer to the wild world of forests. If  shapes echo those of the pupae, iridescent fabrics shine like the body of a beetle, introducing a slightly futuristic mood. With this collection G.V.G.V. succeeds in making us love insects, or, at least, a part of them
