Over the border

La mescolanza del concreto e dell'astratto, rappresentano i ritratti di modelle anni 20' di Alison Blickle, la cui estensione dei corpi si fonde all'interno di vivaci e geometrici patterns, che ne trascendono le forme reali del corpo. Eteree ed inarrivabili, un pò algide e senz'anima queste donne intente a dipingere o realizzare oggetti che sono però veri e talmente concreti che si dispongono oltre la cornice, oltre la bidimensionalità irreale, e si possono toccare, sentire. E' incredibile il concetto ossimorico alla base di queste opere, che ci stuzzicano l'utilizzo (in concomitanza) di più sensi, oltre al passivo "guardare": gli oggetti che sono tridimensionali e "altro" dalla figura delle stesse autrici, che invece non sono lì in carne ed ossa a rappresentarli, sono un pò come cose lasciate da chi non tornerà più, quasi una metafora della vita.

The blend of the concrete and the abstract, are the portraits of 20's models by Alison Blickle, whose extension of bodies melts inside of lively and geometric patterns, which transcend the real forms of the body. Ethereal and untouchable, a little bit cold over and without soul are these women intent to paint or make objects which, however, are real and so real that they are over the frame, over the unreal two-dimensionality, and you can touch them, and feel them. It is incredible the oxymoric concept at the base of these works, that tease us the use (concurrently) of more senses , in addition to the passive "watch": the objects that are three-dimensional and "other" from the figure of the same authors that are not there in flesh and bones to represent them, are a little as things left by those who do not return more, almost a metaphor of life.
