God Save The Teens: Daniyel Lowden

Hi I’m Daniyel! é così che si presenta Daniyel Lowden nel suo tumblr. Nato in Sud Africa, ha trascorso la sua infanzia traslocando ogni due anni, solo di recente si é stabilito sulla Isola di Man. Daniyel spera in un futuro come fotografo professionista a Londra. Le sue fotografie catturano lo spirito e la curiosità della vita da adolescente con un occhio sapiente. E 'sorprendente scoprire che è ancora un adolescente lui stesso, ha soli 19 anni, e inizierà a studiare tra poco a London College of Communication. La passione per la fotografia l´ha avuta da suo nonno. Un fotografo naturalista che nella boscaglia africana ogni tanto gli prestava la macchina fotografica per fargli scattare le sue primissime fotografie. Al momento, sta lavorando a una serie di ritratti di adolescenti sull'isola inglese dove vive.

Daniyel Lowden. Born in South Africa, he spent his childhood moving from home to home, only recently settling in the Isle of Man. But Daniyel is looking forward to a future as a professional photographer in London. His photographs capture the spirit and curiosity of teenage life with a knowing eye. It’s surprising to discover he’s still a teenager himself at only 19 years old, and will be attending London College of Communication this autumn. He got into photography through his granddad. He is a wildlife photographer in Zimbabwe and whenever he wasn’t pointing the camera at animals In the African bush, he’d be borrowing it to take photographs of whoever would let him. At the moment, he is working on a series of portraits of teenagers from the island that he lives on.
