Shopping crush: riding the future

Quando si dice che, acquistando qualcosa, si compra un sogno. O un intero stile di vita. O, in questo caso, l’immaginario di intere generazioni di cinefili e orde confuse di amanti degli anni 80.

Ebbene, qualche volta quelle espressioni che suonano così retoriche si rendono assolutamente vere.

Mesi fa, l’azienda automobilistica DMC (DeLorean Motor Company) annunciò la messa in produzione di una nuove versione dell’amatissima DMC-12. Per quanti non abbiano ancora capito di cosa stiamo parlando…primo: andate al diavolo! Secondo: chiedete una mano a Wikipedia, dopodiché procedete pure con la lettura.

Quindi a quanto pare, in un giorno non ben precisato del 2013, verrà al mondo la versione elettrica dell’auto resa famosa dai film della serie “Ritorno al Futuro”.

Sicuramente non si tratterà di un’auto per tutti, ma sognare non costa, giusto?

Well, sometimes it happens that those words are fucking true.

Months ago, American car company DMC (DeLorean Motor Company) announced they would have put into production a new version of the oh so beloved DMC-12. So it happens that the car celebrated by “Back to the future” film series will be realized in an electric version, and shared with the world on a unprecised day during 2013.

It won’t certainly be “for everybody”, but dreams don’t cost a thing, do they?
