Do the right thing

Spike Lee Do the right thing

Born in Atlanta but always lived in Brooklyn, Shelton Jackson is certainly one of the most prominent figures of the last twenty years of African American culture.

Many of his films, as well as all his personal story, tell a considerable piece  of Black America. Jazzman father, a brother named Malcolm, and a mother of a personality overflowing, Spike has always loved sports and basketball, but pratice it is not the same thing, and it is precisely thus the nickname then became a legend "Spike" (slender , but also resistant).

Two are the movies that link it to our section: “Do The Right Thing” and “He Got Game”.

But Spike connection to the NBA is demostrate by more than a simple movie, the Knicks' biggest fan is a sample of trash-talking. Interviewed by the NBA, as an illustrious figure of the Knicks, Spike said to have grown up with the myth of Ali, Malcolm X and ML King, then when you hear appoint Tommie Smith, Black Jesus and Abdul Jabbar , the tear coming down and you start thinking that this must have seen a lot, but just as many.
