PUMA and Serie A League unveil the new winter ball

PUMA and Serie A today present the official match ball for the winter season 2024/25, which will be used in Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Primavera 1 competitions: the PUMA Orbita Hi-Vis Serie A. With this ball, PUMA and Serie A League celebrate Italian football by sharing the spirit and passion of fans around the world. To design this new match ball, PUMA was inspired by the emotional intensity that every football fan experiences when their favorite team is on the field. This version, created specifically for the winter season, features graphics with elements that evoke the energy and passion of Italian fans, paired with a yellow base to ensure excellent visibility in all weather conditions.

The ball also stands out for its 12 large star-shaped panels with a reduced number of seams, to allow for a better connection with the ball. The Orbita FIFA Quality Pro uses cutting-edge technology to create an optimal sphere that maintains its shape and absorbs less water. A POE foam layer is added to increase touch sensitivity, providing a more solid feel and consistent bounce. Additionally, the 1.2 mm 3D-textured PU surface improves aerodynamics, making the ball more resistant to abrasion and wear, increasing its durability. The ball is also equipped with a rubber bladder and a PAL (PUMA Air Lock) valve for optimal air retention and bounce.
