Although no official announcements or communications have been released by the club yet, Bayern Munich has updated its crest, as can be seen from the profile picture on their Instagram account. The crest features significantly brighter colors compared to those used in the crest adopted by the club for over 20 years, specifically since 2002. Even in that year, the club introduced a new crest with a similar approach, increasing the brightness of the blue and red, the club's official colors. However, on that occasion, there were also slight modifications in the lettering and a font change, which included the dots between the letters "F.C." and "E.V." (which stands for "registered association"), dots that were later removed starting in 2002. As has happened several times throughout history, starting from the 1920s, Bayern Munich's crest will continue to feature the colors of Bavaria, white and light blue, though in an updated and slightly more vibrant version.

At the moment, it is unclear whether this decision was suggested by Bayern Munich fans or if it came from the club's management. However, the first option cannot be ruled out, considering that in recent years fans have expressed their discontent on several occasions regarding the decisions of "their" club. A significant example occurred during the home Champions League match against Galatasaray, when Bayern wore a jersey that drew disapproval from Bavarian fans, who are strongly attached to the club's historical identity. On that occasion, the stands displayed a banner in the shape of a jersey with the words «DIE CLUBFARBEN SIND UNANTASTBAR», which translates to «The club colors are untouchable». For this season as well, the club has opted for a somewhat controversial choice given the supporters' approach to such decisions.

For the Away jersey, once again produced by adidas, the club chose to use a blackout version of the crest even on the home jersey. Black, a color that has been used on several occasions in Bayern Munich kits, thus becomes the main feature of the home jersey, overshadowing the traditional colors of the crest. It is difficult to fully understand the reasoning behind this choice, which seems to be part of a strategy by adidas, promptly approved by the German club. How the more traditionalist fans feel about it remains a mystery, and it's curious that they haven't yet expressed their dissent through a protest.
