The licensing landscape of EA Sports FC 25 continues to evolve: Inter and Milan, which will become Lombardia FC and Milano FC respectively, have officially lost their rights with EA Sports FC after signing an exclusive contract with Konami eFootball. The new installment of the video game will debut on September 20 and will be missing the two big Milanese teams as we know them, with Lazio and Napoli reclaiming their rights with the football franchise. In addition to the official name, the aesthetics of the Home and Away kits and crests will also change. Inter will opt for a black, blue, and turquoise kit for the home version, while the away version will feature a shirt characterized by a cartoonish serpent – a design that deviates greatly from the minimal versions worn by Lazio, Roma, Napoli, and Juventus in recent seasons, when they didn't have rights with EA Sports FC. As for the Rossoneri, what will most upset fans is the choice of team colors: orange and white, for both the Home and Away versions, with a classic striped design for the first and a more unique revision for the second. Another unfortunate news is that, along with the official crests, the San Siro stadium will also disappear from the video game.

As for the crests, EA Sports FC 25 has chosen to focus on symbols related to the brand identity of the Milanese teams. Milan's logo will feature the now-recurring Saint George's cross, while Inter's will display the Serpent (Biscione), one of the most beloved symbols among the Nerazzurri fans. The likeness of the players will remain unchanged thanks to the FIFPro license, the international association that protects the rights of professional football players worldwide. Juventus and Fiorentina will continue to be featured thanks to an exclusive contract with EA Sports, making them absent from Konami eFootball. Staying in Lombardy, Monza will also be included, although its players, while retaining their real names, are not expected to have Face Scan. Bad news for Atalanta fans, as the team will still be called Bergamo Calcio. Even before Inter and Milan, several clubs had adopted fictional names, a characteristic once typical of PES, especially for Premier League teams, with fantasy names like Merseyside Red and Blue, Manchester Red and Manchester Blue, and many more.
