The best jerseys of the CONCACAF Nations League Geometric patterns lead the way

The Nations League during this international break was not only played in Europe. In fact, there is also a version for CONCACAF, the organization that governs football in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. A tournament that doesn’t have much to offer in terms of technical level, but the aesthetic side tells a different story. There are some jerseys worth highlighting, shirts that, thanks to their creative designs and patterns, could become cult classics in the coming years.

U.S. Virgin Islands - Hummel

Unlike what has happened in Europe during this and previous seasons, in this part of the world Hummel has almost entirely abandoned its design inherited from the 1980s to experiment with something new. The Home jersey and the Away jersey are designed as mirrors of each other, meaning the primary color of the Home is used for the details of the Away and vice versa. Thus, we have a light blue Home jersey with yellow details and a yellow shirt with light blue details. Both feature a V on the chest that incorporates madras, a plaid pattern in turquoise, blue, pink, yellow, green, white, and red. A colorful and lively pattern that is also repeated in the third black jersey with light blue details, which differs by replacing the V on the chest with a vertical band running along the entire front of the kit.

Guatemala - Umbro

Simple but not dull. The latest product of the collaboration between Umbro and Guatemala is a straightforward kit that stands out for its detailed elements. Above all, the different geometric patterns that enhance the light blue diagonal stripe crossing both the white Home jersey and the navy blue Away jersey. Light blue is also used for the collar and sleeve details, paired with black in the Home and white in the Away. The surprise here is the geometric pattern also used on the goalkeeper's jersey. It is not the same design as the diagonal stripe, but a diamond pattern that covers the entire front of the kit, creating an almost three-dimensional effect through a play of light and shadow.

El Salvador - Umbro

Umbro is also the technical sponsor of El Salvador, and once again, it showcased geometric patterns. The Home jersey features sharp shapes in a darker shade than the blue of the shirt, irregular figures that repeat without following a set order. The concept for the Away jersey is completely opposite. While keeping the geometric pattern idea, in this case, the design is repeated with meticulous precision. A series of L-shaped figures in a light blue shade that, when connected, seem to create a labyrinth that stretches across both the front and back of the kit.

Anguilla - Stimulus

How do you build the aesthetic of a national team ranked 209th in the FIFA rankings? It's a very complicated task, but Stimulus managed to create a distinct identity, also using geometric shapes in this case. For example, the Home jersey is an orange shirt with a network of triangles and diamonds developed using a slightly lighter shade. Even more interesting is the work done for the Away jersey, a white shirt with a slight orange V-neck, adorned with a series of geometric shapes that start from the lower part and gradually rise. At first, these shapes form an ordered pattern, but they later appear as scattered confetti. All of this is perfectly in sync with the light blue shorts and white socks, whose orange details echo the collar of the shirt. The warm-up kit, on the other hand, departs completely from these geometric shapes and embraces a floral pattern, combining dark blue and orange details to light up a sky blue shirt.
