After presenting yesterday the Chelsea Third Kit through a photoshoot that celebrated the city's punk and rock and roll spirit, today Nike has launched the third jerseys of many of its top teams in the "Together We Rise" collection. A collection that combines the identity, history, and community of each club and celebrates the rise of women's football. The teams that have presented the kit are Liverpool, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Club America, Pumas UNAM, Corinthians, and Inter Milan. All Third Kits feature the latest Nike season innovation, the vertical Swoosh placed on the chest and made in overlapping double colors, a way to maintain the tonal identity of the teams even in the third jerseys that, as always, try to unleash the designers' creativity. In this new position, the iconic Swoosh points to the wing of the Greek goddess Nike and symbolizes speed, movement, power, and motivation. Each Third Kit is inspired by the unique history of the club, its distinct identity, culture, and diverse communities.
Liverpool has chosen to celebrate the punk musicians who, with their energy and creativity, have contributed to defining the city's sound with a white-based jersey with accents in red and platinum. The kit combines the club's iconic colors with a strong pattern paying homage to the city's artists, and features the feathers of the Liver bird, the club's symbol. On the other hand, Tottenham asks its fans if they feel like playing with a bright green kit that contains both a reference to the "Seven Sisters," a ring of trees in South Tottenham that legends say were planted in the 14th century, and a pattern inspired by N17, the prefix of the North London area where the Spurs play. The Atletico Madrid has opted for a kit design characterized by movement and dynamism, reflected through modern shades of various tones of blue, both lighter and darker than the predominant dark blue.
Pumas UNAM, on the other hand, has chosen a kit dominated by purple and crossed by subtle oblique signs that guarantee speed and modernity to the design. As always, the giant emblem in the center dominates the Mexican team's kits, making the Swoosh seem to be positioned higher than the other jerseys. The rivals of the Club America, on the other hand, have used a diametrically opposite approach, creating a kit dominated by a very showy floral pattern in blue and purple. The third kit of the Corinthians combines the two previously created ones, resulting in a jersey with vertical black and white stripes reminiscent of the pattern used by Nike for the famous anti-racism kits of the 2004-05 season.
