The Sampdoria jerseys between Renaissance and Baroque

The U.C. Sampdoria's kits have always been among the most elegant in the Italian landscape and the launch of the kits for the 2024/25 season, made by Macron, confirms the classic style of the club. Shot in the Palazzo della Meridiana, one of the Rolli Palaces, located in the center of Genoa and became part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the team and the city, and which have been an inspiration to further enrich the new kits. The streets and buildings that tell the history between the Renaissance and Baroque, through the noble palaces with their beautiful facades decorated with stucco and marble, grandiose atriums, spectacular open staircases, splendid gardens, loggias and sumptuous halls that, by Senate Decree, were to host the high personalities who were visiting Genoa on State visits. And the Sampdoria kits, which are already a part of history and tradition, have managed to combine the immutable charm of 'the most beautiful jersey in the world' with a refined and elegant graphic that runs through all the new game kits of the blucerchiata team.

The new 2024/25 Home jersey of U.C. Sampdoria maintains the traditional and iconic blue and white design, with a royal blue background and four central horizontal bands in white, red, black and white again, with the San Giorgio crest in the center. The vintage-style V-neck simulates the design of vintage jerseys with laces for closure. The upper part and shoulders are characterized by a tone-on-tone graphic inspired by the artistic style of ornamental motifs from the seventeenth century found in the Rolli Palaces. The internal backneck is personalized with a label featuring the jersey's graphic, the club's colors, and the words Genova 12 August 1946 (the date of birth of U.C. Sampdoria), while on the chest, both in silicone print, on the right is the Macron logo and on the left the patch with the club's emblem. On the external backneck, in navy blue, is printed DALE DORIA, the chant and encouragement of the blucerchiati fans. The shorts are white and have a basketball-style design, with a back thigh border and a diagonal band on the sides in the blucerchiati colors.

The Away jersey is white, with gold details on the edges of the neckline and sleeves. From the right shoulder to the bottom of the jersey, there is a vertical blucerchiata band with the same Renaissance graphic used in the Home jersey, which is also found on the sleeves and in the backneck. The Macron logo on the chest is also in gold, next to the U.C. Sampdoria emblem, while the San Giorgio crest stands out in the center of the jersey. The backneck and the printed phrase, also in gold, in the backneck, are identical to the first jersey. The shorts are royal blue with blucerchiati details, and the white socks have a fine gold horizontal line at the top edge and a vertical blucerchiata band at the calf.

The 'Third' version is navy blue, with a polo collar and blucerchiati details on the inside of the closure. The sleeve edges, the Macron logo on the chest, and the phrase DALE DORIA in the backneck are in fluorescent blue. The graphic inspired by the ornamental motifs of the walls and ceilings of the Rolli Palaces is present on this third jersey on the entire front and on the sleeves, also in this case through embossing. In the center, the four blucerchiata bands with the San Giorgio crest, while on the chest, on the left, is the U.C. Sampdoria emblem that takes inspiration from the one used in the mid-1960s. The kit is completed by navy blue shorts with blucerchiati details and navy blue socks with a fluorescent blue top edge with a blucerchiata band in the center.
